Susie has over 20 years experience in strategy for communications, stakeholder engagement and marketing for complex projects.

I'm passionate about bringing ideas and concepts to life with story and getting to the heart of the matter. I care about supporting projects that will create a lasting legacy and have far reaching impacts in our communities.

Susie has spent over ten years working in transport infrastructure for government leading and managing strategic communications, large communication teams, engagement and change programs in over 500 infrastructure projects at a local government, state and national level with private sector contractors and numerous communities.

Educated in the US, where she attained her MBA at California State University, Susie has a strong commitment to life-long learning as a means to provide her clients with best practice in her field and is Associate Member of (AMAMI) of the Australia Marketing Institute and a Member of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), as well as Biometrics Institute, and International Association of Public Engagement (IAP2).

Susie's work as a vital point of contact collating, updating and publishing information regarding road closures during the Brisbane floods in 2012 was commended by the Premier.

In 2017 her stakeholder engagement strategy and work was commended in the Prime Minister’s awards for digitising the trucking permit process across Australia.

She has also been recognised internationally by IAP2 for her strategy and IABC as a global speaker on digital strategy and transformation using data in government.

In her spare time, she enjoys and creates art, and is an avid meditator. In 2017, she participated in a global delegation in 2017 to Washington DC through the American Chamber of Commerce.

Susie is well-connected and has a number of expert associates available to join her at times of high demand to provide specialised skills to meet the needs of Beckon’s clients.
