Susie Hambleton

Susie Hambleton is Director of Beckon and a stakeholder engagement, communication and change specialist.

With over 20 years experience in strategic communication and stakeholder engagement, she also has ten years experience in change management for large ICT data and digital transformation projects. She has lead a team of up to 100 communication and stakeholder people. Over the last decade, Susie has worked on numerous Australian government and state government projects in the delivery of ICT transformation, data, technology uplift and infrastructure as the change and stakeholder engagement lead. She works with technical teams to translate and present technical and complex information appropriately to various audiences.

Susie provides services on projects for advisory, strategy creation, milestone reviews and embedded in project teams. She is qualified as a Prosci change manager, and certified with Think One Team, as well as a facilitator. She is a specialist in the application of stakeholder engagement and strategic communication for projects and government organisations. Susie has managed and worked with millions of stakeholders. She wrote the Queensland government stakeholder engagement and communication strategy for the road and transport reconstruction after the major natural flood disaster events in 2010-11 including Cyclone Yasi.

She has spoken in the Asian conference for the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) on communication and stakeholder engagement in data projects. She was a member of the Asia Pacific, American Chamber of Commerce delegation to Washington DC in 2017 (APCAC). A former committee member for IABC and the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) she is a believer of continuing eduction and best practice in stakeholder engagement. 

Susie's work in stakeholder engagement strategy has been recognised by IPAA, CILTA, AMI and IAP2 on a global and national level.

Brisbane based, Susie works across Australia on government and private organisation project work.
